Apples.
The prices of apples seem to being rising quicker than the price of milk. I was excited when I found them on sale last week. However, my excitement wore off when I realized I don’t eat apples as quickly as I thought. I searched Pinterest to see if there were any simple and gluten free baking options for me to try. This is the recipe I found. My rendition of the recipe is below. It tastes like an oatmeal cookie sitting on top of a baked apple. Yes, it’s that good.
3-4 apples cored and sliced in half
1/2 cup Trader Joes gluten free oatmeal
1/2 cup Bloomfield gluten free all purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil
Melt butter in microwave bowl
Mix in oats, flour, sugar, and cinnamon
Fill apples with mixture
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
enjoy.
